I currently serve teachers and students in grades PK-12 as an Instructional Technology Specialist in Texas. In my spare time, I am an independent education consultant for districts in need of professional development. I also work diligently on fine-tuning my database of digital resources and technology trainings on this website. The 2017-2018 school year marks my 9th year in education, with past experience in the 8th-9th grade English classroom and K-4 science classroom.
My interest in educational technology was first ignited during the winter of 2010 when I was snowed in to my home and used the free time to read numerous teaching blogs. I discovered the wealth of information that can be exchanged using technology and started to realize how my students and I could share our learning and resources with the world. Once I saw how positively my high school students responded to the use of technology in the classroom, I was hooked!
I am currently focused on helping educators work smarter (not harder!) and teach students in the way that comes most naturally to them as 21st-century learners -- via technology. I specialize in helping teachers transform their current lessons by integrating technology and delivering professional development, but I love any opportunity to get back into the classroom and in front of young learners!
